Once you have activated your membership to Tar-max, there will be an expectation placed upon you to introduce yourself within the Fresh Rubber section of the forum; at your earliest convienence.
Our members being mainly country people and therefore naturaly very friendly by nature, will begin to wonder why you could not take the time to say a simple G'day, after going thru the registration process. This will in turn then lead them to look upon you as being at least a little bit on the suss side! And bring into question your motives for joining in the first place. Once the above point has been reached, your membership to Tar-max will be deleted.
This usually will eventuate after a period of about 1 week. So please if your've gone to the trouble of registering, at least take the extra time to say hello, and avoid any possible negative outcomes. I promise no one will bite!
About our Name and Slogan.
The following statement is displayed on our Home Page
"so long as they ride on "Tar" and/or can appreciate other peoples desire to take their attitudes & passion towards bikes and riding to the "Max"!"
You may of also noticed our slogan "Riders exploring the limits" To help insure you do not get the wrong impression about us please read on....
Taking riding to the "max" is a general expression and should not be interpreted as Hooning on public roads. Allthough we all love to go for a ride at a quick pace, we believe and advise others that seriously fast riding should only take place at the track!
"Max" is therefore a reflection of our attitude towards many forms of motorcycle "tar" based activity's. Wether it be watching or participating in racing, stunt riding, skill advancement or just going for a Sunday ride. We desire to extract the maximum level of enjoyment, excitement or benifits, these areas have to offer us.
Similarly the above rationalisation should be applied to our slogan "riders exploring the limits". The emphasis should be placed on "exploring" and not conciderd to be "on", "over" or "close to", when used in reference to normal everyday riding on public roads. The exception to this would once again only occur in controlled safe enviroments such as a race track or simular private enclosure.
The use of the word "limits" should also be expanded upon, to encompass not only ones mental ability or machines limlits. But also includes items such as climatic extremes, physical demands and geographical locations. I hope all the above helps dispel any misconceptions anyone may have preconcieved about our site name or associated slogan.
